Abasic Garmin (e.g. FR35/45/55) is cheaper than any AW, has much better battery, and is ultimately much better as a sports watch (physical buttons, more stats, more fitness and sport-specific features and integrations). The Apple Watch is far and away the best smart watch on the market (if you have an iPhone), but if activity tracking is your
1 1 comment. Best. Add a Comment. devp0l • 1 yr. ago. Paired with phone: I get 15-17. On WiFi only (not near a phone) I get 14-16hrs. On LTE only: I get 8hrs (I used to get 11-12 when it was new). Note - no streaming or GPS used in apps for these times.
Thisdoesn't apply to cellular models due to WiFi Calling on both the phone and the Watch (the Watch supports that by default, and the provider has to support it to gain Apple Watch support). On WiFi, you can send and receive iMessages, but you won't be able to make calls or send SMS texts.
Intheir website they only promote it as GPS, but then Curry’s and Harvey Norman do sell it as “Cellular” Carriers for Apple Watch Cellular The (un)official home of #teampixel and the #madebygoogle lineup on Reddit. Gladto hear it helped! Your watch needs your phone nearby to work, so you’ll still need to bring your phone with you. I’d ignore the comment about the battery - unless you use it excessively usually one charge per day is fine. I don’t think the apple watches with cellular require a phone nearby.
No your watch doesn’t get its own number. It’s an extension of your phone contract, will run on the same contract and will have the same number. If you have both with you, it will use your phone. If you don’t have your phone with you, the watch will be your phone. Cellular connectivity will use lots of power if you don’t have your
Iawq. Mybrother had the Apple Watch S7 with LTE and he'd go on runs for over an hour (without the phone). He was not happy with how much the workouts drained the battery. He ended up returning the watch and going with a Garmin. He

OnAppStore: I rebuilded the Wayfinder watch face in pixel perfect shape of the apple watch ultra as native watchOS app with fixed set of working complications. Only for 45, 44 or 41 mm watches. And it is available on AppStore now!
Testyprovedl Apple v srpnu 2022 s předprodukčními Apple Watch Series 8 (GPS) a Apple Watch Series 8 (GPS + Cellular) spárovanými s iPhonem; všechna zařízení se testovala s předprodukčním softwarem, magnetickým rychlonabíjecím USB‑C kabelem k Apple Watch (model A2515) a 20W USB‑C napájecím adaptérem Apple (model A2305).
Upgradedfrom a S6 GPS to a S7 Cellular a week ago. Usually charge to 100% at 9pm and typically have ~35% left at 8pm next evening when I put it on charge, depending how much I use the Cellular. Today, after 17 hours with 90 minutes away from the iPhone, and synced to equipment at the gym, with a couple of phone calls added in, I have 61% left.
Id say stick with GPS. People got along fine for ages without having a cell phone attached to them everywhere they went so I figure going for a run without one isn't so bad. Yeah it's nice to have the peace of mind that if anything happens, you can get help with the device on your wrist, but only you can decide if that peace of mind is worth
